Ers 1909 mae Cymdeithas Hanes Ceredigion wedi cyhoeddi erthyglau am archaeoleg, hynafiaethau a hanes Ceredigion, ac mae llawer o’r erthyglau yn ymwneud â hanes Aberystwyth.

Nod Cymdeithas Hanes Ceredigion yw cadw, cofnodi a hyrwyddo astudiaeth o archeoleg, hynafiaethau a hanes Ceredigion. Mae’r amcan hwnnw wedi aros yr un fath ers sefydlu’r Gymdeithas yn 1909, er bod ei enw wedi’i newid o Gymdeithas Hynafiaethwyr Ceredigion i Gymdeithas Hanes Ceredigion yn 2002.
